STRATEGIC ASSESSMENT. Finally, the government had released Abu Bakar Baasyir from his penintantiary with humanity reason because the patront of Jamaah Anshorut Tauhid has been sick and eldest eventhough Baasyir had been rejected to sign that he would be obey to Indonesia’s national ideology, Pancasila.

Politically and rumorsly, the Baasyir’s releasing is the government will be honor the general norms of human rights related to the government must give forgiveness to someone with “affirmative policy” and in the context of Baasyir’s case is an example of those affirmative policy.

During political years or election years, from Baasyir’s case, the government especially President Jokowi has been gotten political devident or “political stocks” because those policy had been reflected the government did not persecute muslim cleric or others religion cleric to make better and conducive situation prior to the next general election.

I think from Baasyir’s case, the government may try to engage cells and group terror including the radical and an intolerance group to make peace situation and cease conflicts for the best future of Indonesia. Step by step, it should have made terror and radical group movement in Indonesia will decrease. Meantime, we know that the capability of terror groups to launch deadly attacks in Indonesia has been run down or weaked.

Because of that, the policy of government to release Abu Bakar Baasyir is a smart and precisely decision and we hope radicalism and terrorism in Indonesia does not appear again and perhaps those decision could be copied by others countries to implement it in their countries to overcome terrorist and radical movement problems. God blessing us forever. Aamiin YRA.
